Best Wishes to Bryan Pendred

The following is a heartwarming message we received from Harry Pendred, father of Bryan.

” Just over two weeks ago I rang My good friend Baz Nugent looking for a favour. I was wondering if he would have any contacts that would be able to sort out a Signed Celtic jersey for a Signed jersey wall I’m creating for my nephew who is sick at the moment. He advised me to ring Neil reilly and he couldn’t have been anymore right!! Within the space of a half an hour Neil had it all arranged!! bellow you can see Bryan who is delighted with his gift from Celtic and is forever grateful to cork No1 CSC. Bryan is 9 years old and as I said, has had a hard few months. In September he became critically ill and spent most of the month in icu with a rare autoimmune disease attacking his brain that has left him with an acquired brain injury. Since then he’s been relearning everything walking talking etc. Physically the last few weeks he’s going from strength to strength and has left his wheelchair for good. He still has a long way to go with his cognitive rehab and no day has been easy for him but lifts like he got from this package make a real difference to him and shows him so many people are behind him. The picture shows him holding his match worn signed James Forrest jersey and beside him, his match worn Silvestre jersey which where organised by Neil’s good friend Pearse who contacted his PA Nancy who helped to sort it out and get it to Westmeath. Bryan was also delighted with the Cork No1 stickers Neil threw in!! The jerseys will be framed and will be added to his jersey wall! Thanks again to Baz,Neil,Pearse and Nancy for helping me out and some day we will have Bryan in Celtic park. 👍🏻 “

Such a lovely message and it’s great to hear Bryan’s doing well. Thank you for the kind words and Hail Hail to you both.

All the best,
